COURTING EMILY (Race 3 No. 2 – $2.30): Courting Emily finished hard when narrowly beaten at Bendigo on debut. She won’t have to improve much to break through at Stawell.

NEXT BEST

CREPESCULE (Race 2 No. 6 – $4.50)

Crepescule showed ability in her maiden preparation but her recent jumpouts indicate she has improved this time in.

VAIL MOUNTAIN (Race 5 No. 4 – $3.90)

Vail Mountain has been freshened since two steady outings in November but he might find this more to his liking.

VALUE BET

COASTAL TOWN (Race 4 No. 3 – $8.50): Coastal Town has been OK without threatening in harder races but dropping in class could help him back to winning ways at Stawell.
