BEST BET
MANOLO BLING (Race 10 No.2 – $4.40): Was electric last start down the Flemington straight where she displayed a brilliant turn of foot to salute at $8.50. Two months in between runs, she’ll be nice and fresh heading into Saturday and she also draws brilliantly in barrier 2.

NEXT BEST
CLEO CAT (Race 9 No.9 – $9.50): Trainer Tom Dabernig is in brilliant form at the moment and Cleo Cat has certainly helped. She’s had five wins from five starts and Dabernig has been very patient with her, taking her through her grades. On Saturday she gets her first crack at black type in a race in which she’ll be eager out of the gate to get into a handy early position. Proven over 1200m, she can earn punters get a nice return.

BELLINGER (Race 5 No.1 – $5.50): Two from two this prep and an in-form Jaylah Kennedy takes the ride, gifting the topweight a handy claim. With 250m to go in his most recent start, punters would’ve thought it was all over – however his turn of foot did the rest. BM84 grade is right in his wheelhouse and we should see him head to black type races later this campaign.

BEST VALUE
WILLMOTT (Race 3 No.3 – $6): Comes off a fairly average last start, however I think a mile is simply a furlong too far for this horse. He’s proven his worth over 1400m this prep and has three wins from four starts this campaign. Back in distance and grade for Archie Alexander’s gelding will suit.
