WARWICK FARM INSIDE MAIL
RACE 1: 3YO Benchmark 68 (1400m)
IDLE FLYER (5)’s mum is the former Godolphin mare Progressive and that’s exactly what this filly looks to be. The Matthew Smith-trained three-year-old has won two of her four starts including a strong win over 1250m on the Kensington track last time and should relish the step up in trip here in a small field. Smith thought enough of the filly to nominate her for Saturday’s Group 3 Eskimo Prince Stakes. METAPHORICALLY (1) was a half-length off Idle Flyer last start in inferior ground closest to the inside. He has a chance.
VERDICT: Idle Flyer to win.
Idle Flyer absolutely flies home to win the final race at Randwick - Kensington, giving @ZacLloydx a double for the day! ðª@mcsmithracing | @aus_turf_clubpic.twitter.com/XKFcp2tNuZ

RACE 2: 3YO Maiden Plate (1200m)
SPACEBALLS (8) has spent 151 days off the scene and has caught the eye with a couple of nice lead up trials. She nearly broke her maiden last prep with a close second to the classy Godolphin filly Pinito. From a perfect draw in barrier three, she should get her chance to breakthrough this time. SUPREME STATEMENT (3) has been well prepared for his first start under the Tulloch Lodge banner. Formerly trained by Stephen Jones, the Press Statement colt has had two public trials in the lead up to his return and won both of them. WAL’S ME MATE (5) found one better first-up from a break and is right in this again.
VERDICT: Spaceballs to win.
SAKIMA (6) has already proven herself to be a stakes quality filly and faces her easiest assignment for some time first-up. The daughter of Snitzel had a third and a fourth in Listed assignment in her final two spring runs with form around the likes of Silmarillion, Lilac and Delichy Boulevard. Two warm up trials and ideal draw will ensure she’s tough to beat. WINCHESTER (5) toughed it out on speed to before being running over the top of late by classy galloper Polyglot and Rantan in Saturday grade. The inside draw gives him every possible opportunity to take up the running and give them something to catch. SUPER BRIGHT (2) continues to hold her form and is suited by the drop back from Saturday grade.
VERDICT: Sakima to win.
RACE 4: Mares Benchmark 72 (1100m)
EMILIA JANE (9) is another OTI Racing galloper that started life in New Zealand. Her two Australian runs last prep had plenty of merit, breaking her maiden with a stylish last to first effort at Newcastle. There could be a few nervous moments from the draw but she will be hard to hold out late. TO THE EXTREME (7) is an eye-catching grey which has only had two starts in the past 12 months. She’s got ability and her trials indicate a big first-up showing. WIND OF CHANGE (2) will be an improver while ALTERCATION (10) is a model of consistency. Include both in multiples.
VERDICT: Emilia Jane to win, trifecta 2-7-9-10.
O’ZIGGY (5) lined up on Saturday so will be on the four-day back-up here. The son of Ace High led the field up in a 2000m event at Rosehill Gardens and while well beaten by stablemate Our Anchorage, he beat the rest. With an inside draw he can again find the front and give them something to chase down. INVESTMENT (7) is the main danger after lapping up the mile-and-a-half in a comfortable victory at Kembla Grange last time. Her best work was over the final 100m there so tipping she will take holding out. IMPUNITY (4) can bounce back on top of the ground after appearing to struggle in the soft going last start. AKKADIAN EMPEROR (6) an outside chance.
VERDICT: O’ziggy to win. Quinella 5,7.
HOUSE OF CARDS (4) put together a successful prep last time with two wins and a placing, with his only defeat coming behind Yorkshire in a race that had plenty of depth. He has won two of his three previous first-up attempts and looks to get conditions to suit here with firm ground and an inside draw. Expecting him to kick off the preparation on the right note. IT’S A KNOCKOUT (5) has more than a puncher’s chance to upset the top pick. Ciaron Maher’s mare had a pair of city wins and a second in her debut prep and clearly has plenty of ability herself. NOBLE CONQUEROR (1) can mix his form but has ability while stablemate WRATHFUL (3) is a big market watch in his first start for the new yard.
VERDICT: House Of Cards to win. Exacta 4, 5.
