Star jockeys Jamie Kah and Ben Melham tied the knot on Sunday in a beautiful summer soiree.
The newlyweds celebrated with family and close friends at picturesque Rosemont Homestead, an 1880s bluestone manor and centrepiece to idyllic equine haven in Gnarwarre, 20km west of Geelong.
Kah’s ex-racehorse Brax, who competed as Rich Rupee, and dog Bubbles featured in the special day, while singer and Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Robbie Dolan performed the first dance song.
“We have both had some incredible days, but yesterday was at the top,” the newlyweds said.
“The best day of our lives together, shared with some incredible people.”
Bridesmaids Bobbie Pittaway, Eran Boyd and Meike Wolf and groomsmen Ethan Brown, Matt Alesci and Ben Vercoe supported the new Mr and Mrs Melham.
Kah wore an elegant white halter dress, while Melham sported a sharp three-piece suit in cream.
Guests dined on freshly shucked oysters, pasta bar, cocktails and champagne in the Rosemont gardens.
Celebrant Natalie Drum officiated, while Channel 7 racing and sports broadcaster Jason Richardson, a close friend of the couple, hosted the reception.
Weddings of Desire director and head planner Laura Browning co-ordinated the cocktail style event.
Entertainment included Melbourne-based musicians Ashley James and Lily Thornton (Sax on Cello), DJ Claudia Allegro and violinist Evangeline Victoria.
Florist Flowers St Germain created the bouquets and arrangements, including a striking arch with pink, white and purple blooms, while Torres Films recorded the event.
Melham proposed last year on Valentine’s Day.
