LAFARGUE (Race 5 No.1 – $3.30)

Lafargue sprinted well to score at Geelong third-up. He’ll be fitter and should continue to improve on Friday night.

NEXT BEST

GREAT AMBITION (Race 4 No.2 – $7)

She’s racing well with wins on the synthetic at her last two runs but the mare can take that form to the turf at The Valley. She’s a good chance for the hat-trick.

MIDNIGHT CHARM (Race 6 No.7 – $2.80)

The talented sprinter scored easily at Mornington when resuming and should again prove tough to run down from the perfect gate on Friday night.

VALUE BET

QURAYA (Race 8 No.10 – $10)

Had a month since a strong win at Bairnsdale but the Maher and Eustace camp has found the right race this time. She’s lightly raced and can measure up.
