The field and barrier draw for Saturday’s 2YO Magic Millions Classic has been decided

The scene is set for a ripping edition of the 2YO Magic Millions Classic on Saturday after the final field and barrier draw was decided on the Gold Coast on Tuesday morning.

Pre-draw race favourite Icarian Dream will exit the extreme outside barrier in her bid to deliver trainer Ciaron Maher a third Magic Millions 2YO title at the Gold Coast on Saturday.

Icarian Dream drew barrier 21 for the lucrative event but will jump from barrier 16 following the removal of the emergencies.

In partnership with David Eustace, Maher’s previous two Magic Millions victories came via Away Game in 2020 before Coolangatta scored in 2022.

And in Icarian Dream, the leading mentor will look to claim a third Magic Millions title, after the daughter of Blue Point charged into the mix with a slick win in the BJ McLachlan Stakes at Eagle Farm on December 21.

While it was despair for the connections of Icarian Dream at the barrier draw, it was a far better tale for pre-draw second elect Invincible Woman, drawing barrier nine, while third elect, Gallo Nero, drew barrier five for Team Hawkes.

Following the barrier draw, Invincible Woman moved to favourite at $5 ahead of Gallo Nero at $6 and Icarian Dream at $7.

Space Rider, sweating on a run as first emergency, is also at $7.
