News Corp form analyst Brad Waters runs the rule over Thursday’s Bendigo meeting.

BEST BET

MASTER BARTHOLDI (Race 5 No.1 – $7.50)

Master Bartholdi resumes after the best preparation of his career that produced two wins from three runs for trainer Liam Howley. He can resume with a win at Bendigo.

NEXT BEST

ENUFFON (Race 3 No.9 – $9.50)

Enuffon was well backed but only run down late after giving a good sight on debut last time. She’s trained at Bendigo and could be harder to run down at her second go.

THALURSIAN (Race 6 No.6 – $4.40)

Thalursian improved significantly to score at Geelong at his second start but could measure up to this class on his way to harder races. Expecting him to win again.

LET’S SEA (Race 9 No.3 – $6.50)

The former Kiwi gelding Let’s Sea will start his second campaign with the Maher and Eustace camp at Bendigo. He scored early first-up last time in and could show up fresh on Thursday.

VALUE BET

AKKA’S METEOR (Race 4 No.1 – $14)

Akka’s Meteor has been close-up at both his runs this time in, including in heavy ground at Moe last time out. He’ll be fitter for those two runs and should go close again at good odds.

THE JOCKEY

DEAN HOLLAND

Dean Holland will combine with the Tony and Calvin McEvoy camp as part of a good book of rides at Bendigo. SIMPLY XTRAVAGANT (Race 1 No.14 – $10), HEAVENLY SPIRIT (Race 4 No.5 – $26), SIR JUGGERNAUT (Race 7 No.11 – $2.60), DENTE (Race 8 No.14 – $23), ARIZONA DREAMING (Race 9 No.1 – $12).
