Chris and Corey Munce have mapped out a long term Group 1 plan for Navyonthehighway but will get a better guide on her top line credentials in the Group 2 $500,000 Hot Danish Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill Gardens.
Navyonthehighway has made a near flawless start to her career with four impressive victories in five starts in Queensland.
Co-trainer Chris Munce is ready to raise the bar higher with her first interstate trip for a maiden crack in stakes grade.

Munce is hoping the Hot Danish Stakes is the first of many black type tests in the next 12 months.
“We want to see where we are at with her but the real goal is the (Group 1) Stradbroke Handicap next year,” Munce said.
“She has to still get a higher rating and a bit more prizemoney to get into the race but that’s the main goal for her.
“This is a nice race for her, it’s just for mares and the 1400m should suit her.”
Navyonthehighway’s only defeat came in a QTIS race event for three-year-old fillies in June when she was second to Cigar Flick.
She has set the track alight in two starts this preparation with a pair of dominant Doomben victories over 1110m and 1350m.
“She is just a lovely mare,” Munce said.
“She has done nothing wrong and won four from five starts.
“The day she ran second they ran a track record or something so it was certainly a good race the day she ran second.
“You could have argued she could have finished a little closer but it was one of those days and she raced well, went to the paddock and came back and improved off the spell.”

• Ratings say Five Diamonds is a race in two
The Munces had originally planned on taking Navyonthehighway down to Melbourne before deciding on a crack at Sydney’s feature on the final day of the lucrative The Everest carnival.
“We had a couple of races in Melbourne but her prizemoney and ratings wasn’t sufficient to get into those races,” Munce said.
“We lifted her rating up and got a bit more prizemoney in Brisbane before we thought we would give her a trip away. This race fell on the calendar nicely.”
All Aged Stakes winner Magic Time is the $2.40 favourite while The Invitation victor Belclare is $3.30 and Navyonthehighway is $16.
Navyonthehighway had led the field up at each of her past two starts but Munce says that doesn’t necessarily have to be the case in her first Sydney start.
Tim Clark has been tasked with navigating a path on the mare from an outside draw in barrier eight.
“She is pretty adaptable and doesn’t have to lead,” Munce said.
“She can be anywhere he wants her to be in the run depending how quick they go.
“I will leave it up to Tim, he will have it all worked out.”
Navyonthehighway could be the Munces’ first stakes winner in partnership after Corey was promoted alongside his father at the beginning of the season.
The pair have already had 23 winners together.
“The season has been going very good,” Munce said.
“We are running third in the premiership up in Brisbane and only have a small stable, 46 horses, on today’s standards it’s only a small stable but they are all lining up and racing well.”
