Symon Wilde-trained Precious Charm the best bet of Saturday’s Sandown Hillside meeting

PRECIOUS CHARM (Race 6, No. 4)

Precious Charm was a strong winner under 61kg at Warrnambool second-up and will be fitter again. No reason she can’t win again at Sandown.

VALUE BET

SHOWMANSHIP (Race 10, No. 3)

Showmanship closed soundly from a tough draw first-up and should enjoy the step up to 1400m. Expecting him to be thereabouts.

RACE 1: 11:25AM SPORTSBET NOBODY DOES IT BETTER HANDICAP (1000m)

SHE’S GOT PIZZAZZ (3) showed speed and fought on well when not far away on debut. Expecting her to go close again from the inside draw. FLATTERED (2) has raced well in stakes class and should be around the mark. ESRAAR (5) has shown something at the jumpout and can perform well on debut. JENNI’S MEADOW (1) won well first-up last time in and has had more time to develop.

SUGGESTED BET: She’s Got Pizzazz to win.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Esraar $4.80 – $4.20.

RACE 2: 11:55PM SENET GAMBLING LAW EXPERTS HANDICAP (1600m)

EUGENIUS (2) is racing consistently and went down narrowly at Flemington and ran solidly over 1600m before that. He can go one better. HYDROGEN POWER (7) raced wide and tried hard at Caulfield and will be hard to beat. PREVAILED (6) was a dominant winner in wet ground at Geelong and will be hard to run down. GIFTED GAMER (4) is racing well and has drawn to have every chance.

SUGGESTED BET: Eugenius to win.

RACE 3: 12:25PM SPORTSBET BET WITH MATES HANDICAP (1400m)

FLYING FIZZ (3) backs up from a good effort at Flemington last Saturday but there’s no reason she can’t break through this time. ENNA’S DREAM (6) resumed with an excellent third at Caulfield and won second-up last time in. MISS ARIA (1) powered home to score at Caulfield and should be respected again. ELPHINSTONE (2) is racing well and won’t be far away.

SUGGESTED BET: Flying Fizz to win.

RACE 4: 1:00PM TOBIN BROTHERS CELEBRATING LIVES HANDICAP (1000m)

PORT ALBERT (9) is yet to miss a placing first-up and raced well at this level last time in. Barrier four is perfect. MRS CHRISSIE (6) was a fighting winner at Caulfield fresh and soft ground won’t worry her. FASUTO (1) was a good winner at Mornington first-up and has jumped out well since. WONDEREACH (11) went well on this track last time and could sneak a place.

SUGGESTED BET: Port Albert to win.

RACE 5: 1:35PM SPORTSBET PHOTO FINISH REFUND HANDICAP (2400m)

MI ROCK ALY (9) could be worth an each-way play dropping back in class from the Warrnambool Cup and she went well over this trip at Bendigo before that. VIVIDEEL (4) is racing well and will be hard to hold out. PEARL RAIN (5) will be much fitter for her solid first-up run. NASSAK DIAMOND (10) can improve significantly on her first-up run.

SUGGESTED BET: Mi Rock Aly each-way.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Garachico $12 – $7.

RACE 6: 2:10PM STOW STORAGE SOLUTIONS HANDICAP (1600m)

Happy to back PRECIOUS CHARM (4) to be in this for a long way after her game win under 61kg at Warrnambool. She can race handy, which will suit here. AIMING (10) has drawn awkwardly but is consistent and won’t be far away. GREAT TASTE (14) stretched out well when second at Cranbourne and will be fitter. MATRIARCH ROSE (11) is a talented mare that could measure up.

SUGGESTED BET: Precious Charm to win.

RACE 7: 2:45PM SPORTSBET RACE REPLAYS HANDICAP (1800m)

FENGARADA (8) produced an excellent effort at his first run back from a long spell at Warrnambool and is unbeaten this track and distance. LET’SROLLTHEDICE (2) was a fighting winner in Sydney and has drawn perfectly. SMOKIN’ ROMANS (1) is the class horse of the field and will be better for his first-up run. HIGHLIGHTS (7) is racing well in NSW and should be considered.

SUGGESTED BET: Fengerada each-way.

TAB MARKET MOVER: Let’srollthedice $6 – $3.60.

RACE 8: 3:25PM TILE IMPORTER HANDICAP (1600m)

JABBAWOCKEEZ (11) charged home to win at Warrnambool second-up and can measure up to this harder assignment. HARD TO CROSS (9) was a strong winner here second-up and loves this trip. ZAMBORGHINI (13) did a good job behind a subsequent stakes winner at Flemington and will be fitter. CHIEF ALTONY (3) will be better for two runs back from a spell.

SUGGESTED BET: Jabbawockeez to win with a saver on Hard To Cross.

RACE 9: 4:05PM THOROUGHBRED CLUB OF AUSTRALIA HANDICAP (1400m)

CAWDOR (17) showed ability in stakes races in France and showed he has settled in well to his new stable in recent jumpouts. BIGOLINO (12) led and gave a great sight first-up and could be harder to run down this time. LOUNGE BAR RUBI (2) has drawn wide but there was a lot to like about his first-up run at Caulfield. RHEINBERG (4) covered ground at Caulfield and can improve from barrier three.

SUGGESTED BET: Box quinella 2, 4, 12, 17

TAB MARKET MOVER: Cawdor $10 – $5.

RACE 10: 4:35PM SPORTSBET FEED HANDICAP (1400m)

Hard race to finish but SHOWMANSHIP (3) might be over the odds after his sound return to racing in the Wangoom Handicap. He’ll be fitter and the class drop suits. KING MAGNUS (1) is never far away in these races and has drawn well. JUNIPAL (6) will be much fitter for his strong first-up effort. NICOLINI VITO (10) is racing well and should again be around the mark.

SUGGESTED BET: Showmanship each-way.
