Trainer John O’Shea is content to take a steady approach with Yorkshire as his emerging star looks to enhance his already brilliant record at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.
Yorkshire is set to start as the shortest price favourite on the card at Rosehill Gardens as the $1.75 top pick in the TAB Benchmark 88 Handicap (1500m).
The son of Snitzel is one of the most progressive talent’s in Sydney racing right now with four wins and two placings to his name from six starts.

Yorkshire was only narrowly beaten by Group 3 Southern Cross Stakes favourite Accredited first-up this preparation before demolishing rivals at Wyong last start.
A crack at stakes grade seems inevitable but O’Shea, who trains with Tom Charlton, is in no rush to raise the bar too high.
“He just needs to learn his craft and we like winning, as we all do, so we are just happy to go on steady,” O’Shea said.
“We will let him let him build a nice resume.
“We will just keep poking along and when he tells us he has had enough we will pop him out.
“I would like to try him at a mile at Randwick one day and then that will determine what we set him for.”

Champion jockey James McDonald pilots Yorkshire, which is joined by stablemate Cotehele ($51) in the same race.
The son of Tavistock returned from more than a year of the scene at the beginning of this preparation and has struggled to recapture his best in four runs.
“It was nearly ‘D Day’ the other day but he didn’t have a lot of luck but Saturday certainly is,” O’Shea said.
“He has drawn a gate, comes in well with the claim and if he doesn’t fire, we will do something else with him.”
Bartolf was an acceptor in the Asahi Super Dry Handicap but will run at Canterbury Park on Friday night instead and O’Shea is confident he can bounce back.
The stable will have even bigger things in its sights next weekend with brilliant Australia Stakes victor Schwarz set to target the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.
