BEST BET
GOLDEN ESTRELLA (Race 8 No. 10 – $3.40)
Golden Estrella tried hard behind a promising type at Cranbourne first-up but will be much fitter for that. Expecting her to be harder to beat.
NEXT BEST
IL CUBO (Race 4 No. 1 – $7.50)
Il Cubo gave a start but chased well at Caulfield first-up. He won second-up last time in and can repeat that effort on Thursday.
NYSTROM (Race 6 No. 4 – $7)
The former Kiwi went to the spelling paddock a winner and has had more time to develop. She’ll be competitive first-up.
VALUE BET
ROMAJI (Race 2 No. 6 – $10)
Romaji ran on well when close-up at Cranbourne last time out and will be hard fit for this. He’s a good each-way chance at Pakenham.
THE JOCKEY
Jockey Luke Currie has a book of six rides at Pakenham. DREAM ALL DAY (Race 1 No. 4 – $1.70), MUKTAMIL (Race 2 No. 4 – $3), WHATELEY (Race 3 No. 6 – $2.90), APPARATUS (Race 4 No. 2 – $4.40), MERRIGOLD (Race 6 No. 6 – $6), ZACSEED (Race 7 No. 7 – $14).
