INSIDE MAIL – NEWCASTLE
Curl Curl finished under a length behind Shall be when third two starts back before a third to stablemate Zoe Shark both over this track and distance. Meets her better the weights and he has drawn nicely with blinkers on for the first time. Zoe Shark carried 4kg less than Curl Curl last time and has 2kg less this time. She was runner-up at her previous three starts all over this 900m here. Drawn wide this time. Altercation placed twice in town before a wide run when seventh last start.
Bet: Curl Curl to win
Rip Off resumed with a handy second at Wyong behind Mogul Monarch who is a leading contender for the Midway at Randwick. Was runner-up over this trip at Wyong last campaign. Is a winner here and looks tough to beat. Puerto Banus was crowded at the start and went back to last before finishing fifth to Polyglot at Rosehill on Jan 18. Dropped inn grade an beaten a half-length to Giving Delight at Scone a month later after losing momentum at the 900m. Wild Gypsy didn’t have much luck at Warwick Farm last start. Handy fourth to Toes In The Water on the Kensington before that.
Bet: Rip Off to win
Idle Flyer absolutely flies home to win the final race at Randwick - Kensington, giving @ZacLloydx a double for the day! ðª@mcsmithracing | @aus_turf_clubpic.twitter.com/XKFcp2tNuZ

Unconquerable led and was only caught late when a half-length third to the barnstorming Idle Flyer on the Kensington second-up before beating all bar Gangsta Granny after racing outside the leader at Kembla. Drops in weigh and drawn ideally. Medinah had handy country form last campaign. Kicked off his latest preparation with a nice win from Announcing over 1250m here nine days ago. Good chance again. Anarita got a deserved maiden win two starts back before a fourth to Mogul Monarch at Wyong. Won’t be far away again.
Bet: Unconquerable to win
Matcha Latte resumed from a 17 month lay-off with a long neck second to Here To Shock in the Group 3 Cameron Handicap last September. Returns here off two nice trials. Lord Of Biscay is chasing hat-trick after wins at the Gold Coast and Ballina Cup. Freshened for the drop back to 1400m. Welcometobarbados is a progressive mare. Scored a stylish win first-up here and will be prominent again.
Bet: Matcha Latte to win
INSIDE MAIL – WAGGA
Daze Off raced well in her first campaign including a debut win over this track and distance. A little hiccup cost her a short at the Country Championship Qualifier. A good chance at odds here. Laurel Hill has been narrowly beaten at both runs this prep in town, the latest behind Just Glamourous at Canterbury. Is the hardest to beat. Outback Angel raced wide without cover on the Kensington last start. Handy second to Manuscript at Canterbury before that.
Bet: Daze Off each-way
Mathrin came between runners from last to win the Cowra Cup by a nose from Victory Roll over 1600m before a fourth to Master Riley in the Merimbula Cup over 1600m. Should have little trouble stepping up to the 1800m. Ashau Valley placed second to Dreamstone over this track and distance and third to Victory Roll over 2000m at his two runs here. Victory At Omaha comes out of the Merrimbula Cup at the Sapphire Coast when a three-quarter length third.
Bet: Mathrin each-way

Villasaurus was very impressive winning a Rosehill TAB Highway first-up over 1400m last campaign before a third to Sunchyme at the same track. Wide draw doesn’t help but he is a winner at the track and trip. Burrandana was third in the 2023 SDRA Qualifier at this fifth start and then placed in four Highways. Won first-up from an 11 month break in November before a break and kicked off recently with a third here on Feb 17. Arthur The Great is a solid performer. Nice win in his Benalla trial on Feb 17.
Bet: Villasaurus each-way
Pussyfoot broke her maiden with a nice win at Albury at start six then jumped up sharply in class when down the order behind She’s Got Pizzazz in the Listed Twilight Glow Stakes at Caulfield to end her first campaign. Resumes here from an ideal gate and drops to 55kg after the claim. Fourthtimelucky raced keenly out wide when fifth on debut before leading all-the-way at Albury last October. Darkley won well on debut and hasn’t been far behind the placegetters in four runs since.
Bet: Pussyfoot to win
