NEWCASTLE INSIDE MAIL
Godolphin filly Charka is by Exceed And Excell from multiple city winner Handspun. Outside the leader when second to Matima in her first trial. Tracked the speed when she won her second heat at Randwick. Gets a 3kg claim. Stablemate Parfumier is another Exceed And Excel filly. Drifted back and was steady to the line when fourth in her first trial. Raced midfield and very wide from the outside gate before closing nicely when second to Satin’s Legacy in her Randwick heat. Wisnierska is by Anders. A little green in her Wyong trial but was doing her best work late when fourth to stablemate Wollzeile who led.
Bet: Charka to win
Monte Braveheart was working home late when fifth to Hellaine over 1200m first-up at Kembla in September before a fourth to Correon over 1300m here on Nov 16. Ready to peak third-up and drawn nicely. Placed over 1500m and 1600m last preparation. Road To Paradise is a debutant by The Autumn Sun from the Kris Lees stable. Nice fourth to Cutepi in her 940m Newcastle trial on Oct 22 before a third to the impressive One Man Show in her 1100m Scone heat. Royalify has shown enough ability to win a few races. Will be up on speed from the good gate.
Bet: Monte Braveheart to win
Rubi’s Serve was third to the exciting Private Harry here first-up before a fourth at Taree. Broke his maiden with a nice win from Star Of Paris here on Nov 27. Missile Defence won his maiden here in August before going to the Group 3 Ming Dynasty at Rosehill when down the track behind Encap and Ceolwulf. Kicked off this campaign with a narrow second at Hawkesbury then was a month between runs last to Brazil at Kembla Nov 16. Churchill’s Choice was $16 into $9 when winning at Scone on debut. Good chance again.
Bet: Rubi’s Serve to win
Cream Rises raced keenly over the 1600m in the Cootamundra Cup and again at Kembla two starts ago before dropping back to 1400m with the blinkers off when a good second to the promising Welcometobarbados after being held up in the straight at Kembla on Nov 16. Alice Mae returns from a freshen up chasing a hat-trick. Broke her maiden here over 1500m before coming from well back to win over 1450m at Muswellbrook on Oct 21. Kept up to the mark with a nice third in a Wyong trial last week. Bully For You drops back from a Midway at Kembla on The Gong Day when seventh to Justela.
Bet: Cream Rises to win
Sharkim was a handy third to Don’t Call Me Honey at Muswellbrook with 62kg. Raced fiercely and was checked when eighth here before a fourth at Kempsey with 61.5kg. Drops to 53kg and drawn ideally in gate two. Pearls Treasure was beaten less than a length into second behind Too Darn Lovely and Miss Rebel in consecutive runs at Scone before breaking through with a big win from Antisocial over 900m there. Wide draw is tricky with the rail out but can be prominent again. Russian Assassin will take improvement from his first-up second to Sutton Vella at Gundagai. Is a winner this track and distance.
Bet: Sharkim each-way
Summer Soiree raced well in her first campaign placing in four of her seven starts including a close second to I Am Famous at Warwick Farm. Took an inside run to win her latest Warwick Farm trial against race winners. and drawn to be on speed. Madam Instrife was green on debut here in August when a half-length second to Just Glamourous on a Heavy 9 over 1200m. Closed nicely when second to Certain Future in her Randwick trial on Nov 26. Wide gate the only query. Immediate comes up from Victoria with two handy seconds to her name.
Bet: Summer Soiree to win
True Amor broke his maiden in good fashion from Raikkonen over 1200m at Kembla first-up. Was 24 days top his next run but didn’t handle the deteriorating Soft 6 at Canterbury last start. Dark Glitter has just found one a little better at his last three starts when close second to Zoe Shark here, Rantan at Hawkesbury and Private Harry at the same track last time out. Gets a 3kg claim and sure to run well again. Mr Rock It doesn’t win often but is racing consistently. Keep safe at odds.
Bet: True Amor to win
