Followed two second placings with a smart win when she stepped up to 1600m. Extra trip looks ideal.

MEWCASTLE INSIDE MAIL
RACE 1: CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1850m)
Squeezebox was three and four-wide early before getting one off for a short distance when second to the highly promising Just Feelin’ Lucky at Kembla two starts back. Charged home between runners to score a big win over 1600m at Hawkesbury. Hardpoint debuted in that same Kembla race when third after racing outside the leader. He also stepped up to the mile and scored a smart win at his next start. Vieste is a winner at his only run at the track and distance.
Bet: Squeezebox to win
RACE 2: 2YO MAIDEN PLATE (900m)
Offenbach is a Michael Freedman-trained son of Snitzel. Runner-up in both trials, the latest a half-length behind Buckeye at Warwick Farm on Nov 19. Telling, a Peter Snowden-trained son of Graff, sat three-wide and worked home nicely when second to Good Hotspur in his Rosehill heat on Nov 4. Sunrise Ridge is a sister to the stakes-placed Stellar Magic from the Gary Portelli yard. Showed nice ability with her second to Life After Love in her Warwick Farm trial on Nov 8.
Bet: Offenbach to win
RACE 3: 3YO&UP MAIDEN HANDICAP (900m)
Shropshire Lad is a first starter by Supido from the Rod Northam yard. Won his first trial by nearly 15 lengths in February and was spelled. Came from second last and never off the bit to win his Scone heat on Nov 13. Overtook is a debutant by Deep Field. She was OK when third to Regimental Colours in her Warwick Farm trial on Oct 29 before scoring a nice win in her Hawkesbury heat on Nov 14. Miss Piera has claims on her debit second to Photographics.
Bet: Shropshire Lad to win
RACE 4: MIDWAY CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1400m)
Aroha Stone was caught three-wide two starts back when fourth to Lady Savannah before dropping back to country grade and winning at Port Macquarie 13 days ago. Prince Of Sorts sat outside the leader when he won smartly at his second start at Dubbo in August. Was beaten as an odds-on fav at Port Macquarie first-up from a let-up before a close second to American Starlet at Wyong. Gets in well after the 3kg claim. Good Once was third in that Wyong race last start. Won’t be far away again.
Bet: Aroha Stone to win
RACE 5: BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP (2300m)
Vaguer won nicely over 2110m before carting the field up when second behind all-the-way winner Fleet Commander over 2400m. Dropped back to 1900m when fifth to Celestial Fury at Canterbury last start. Suited stepping back up to 2300m and gets a 3kg claim. Stablemate Hiawatha tried hard when second to Kind Words at Kembla before a fifth to Kadavar in a BM78 at Rosehill. Will appreciate a in grade and coming back to the provincials. War Ribbon is coming off a big maiden win.
Bet: Vaguer each-way
RACE 6: PROVINCIAL MAIDEN PLATE (1300m)
Star Of Paris took an inside run and hit the front after straightening before being caught by Flying Embers on debut here on Oct 19. Settled well back before closing off for third to Sarrismo at Hawkesbury. Drawn wide but back to her home track. Missile Charm settled down near last before working home well through the field to finish third to Mizella on debut over 1000m at Port Macquarie. Will be better for the experience and step up in trip. Jared and Swift Gun have claims.
Bet: Star Of Paris to win
RACE 7: BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1250m)
Shelstein sat outside the leader and was a little green in the straight but did a good job to wear down Gorbachev when resuming at Kembla. Handed up the lead when third to Aye Aye Captain at Rosehill last start. Will give this a shake. Art Volant started last campaign with back-to-back wins at Hawkesbury and Kensington. Trialling well and ready for another strong first-up run. True Amor kicked off this prep with a good win from Raikkonen at Kembla over 1200m.
Bet: Shelstein each-way
RACE 8: MAIDEN PLATE (1500m)
Omnic got back from his wide gate and covered ground but still made up some ground despite beating just one home when resuming here on Oct 5. Worked forward to be outside the leader when a narrow second to Rotagilla here last start. Rumbling Night was held up in the straight and should have finished much closer then his three-length eighth to Sarrismo on debut at Hawkesbury. Altair I Am has been good in both runs back. Wide gate the concern.
Bet: Omnic to win
