INSIDE MAIL – KEMBLA
RACE 1: MBA NSW PLATE (C1) 2000m
Kind Words found the 1400m way too short in a solid Bm88 behind Willaidow at Rosehill first-up and improved when fourth to stablemate Tavi Time over 1600m at Warwick Farm. Back in grade and up to 2000m, she looks tough to beat. Coto De Caza run well for third to Struff over 1400m here before finding it hard to make ground over 1600m second-up. At his right trip now and ready to show his best. Hiawatha was second in two runs over 2100m last campaign.
Bet: Kind Words to win.
RACE 2: UTJ INTERIORS MIDWAY MDN HCP 1600m
Horizons just lost a little ground when taken wider soon after straightening before finishing a narrow second to Pariah Engagement over 1250m at Newcastle first-up. Went back to the rails and worked home for fifth to all-the-way winner Colophon on the Kensington. Up to 1600m looks ideal. Zan followed a nice trial win over Powers Of Opal with a good closing second behind Dame Commander over 1500m here first-up. Devils Daughter was a handy third to Hellaine here first-up before chasing Colophon when seventh on the Kensington.
Bet: Horizons to win
RACE 3: The Builders Club (BM68) 1600m
Waverley came along the rails from last when fifth over an unsuitably short 1300m on the Kensington first-up. Will be ideally suited over 2000m but can run a big race over the mile here and has placed runner-up twice second-up. Etched In Time won well first-up before a close third at Newcastle and a fourth at Warwick Farm behind Ambassadorial. One from one at the track. Star Legacy bumped into a smart one when second to bumped into a smart one when second to Yoshinobu at Newcastle last start.
Bet: Waverley to win
RACE 4: HUME DOORS MDN PLATE 1200m
California Blues bounded on jumping and settled a clear last but made up ground to finish just over two lengths behind Idolised when resuming at Hawkesbury over 1000m. Led and wasn’t pushed when a narrow third to Azucar in his Canterbury trial. Shelstein was good in his first campaign when fourth to Depth Of Character on debut at Canterbury before a third at Goulburn. Has since been gelded and closed strongly for second in his Warwick Farm heat on Oct 15. Occult and Gorbachev won’t be far away.
Bet: California Blues each-way

RACE 5: BAINES MASONRY MDN PLATE 1200m
Sister Daae settled just behind the speed and battled away okay on debut when fourth behind the talented Winning Proposal on debut at Warwick Farm in June. Has been good without pressure in her two recent trials. Incantation is debutant by Harry Angel from the family of Yell, Microphone and Holler. Made ground under a hold when a close second in her Canterbury heat. Tequila Baby sat behind the leader and tried hard when runner-up to Viale at Port Macquarie when resuming.
Bet: Sister Daae to win
RACE 6: Gray’s Excavations Super Mdn Hcp 1400m
Just Feelin’ Lucky was well backed when resuming at Hawkesbury but was three-wide without cover early before sitting outside the leader and finishing a neck second to One Last Shot. Drawn ideally and can make amends. Squeezebox got a little check on the turn and was held-up until the 300m before taking a narrow gap when second to Full Metal Jacket first-up here on Oct 12. Drawn wide but extra trip suits. Existential Bob got back and held his ground on debut at Bendigo. Look for an improved run.
Bet: Just Feelin’ Lucky to win
RACE 7: WESTRAC (BM64) 1400M
Brutal Bowler was wide without cover first-up when sixth to Yoshinobu at Newcastle then worked forward to be outside the leader and finish a neck fourth to Trapeze Pleasure at Hawkesbury. Ready to peak third-up and suited going to 1400m. Artful Persuasion started his prep with consecutive seconds before a sixth on an unsuitable heavy track. Broke through for a deserved win last start and a big chance again. Bully For You came from last when third to Island Dec before a close fifth to Trapeze Pleasure at Hawkesbury.
Bet: Brutal Bowler to win
RACE 8: RAY WHITE SHELLHARBOUR (BM64) 1200m
Bartolf started an odds-on fav on debut and lived up to his quote with a good win from Puerto Banus at Scone in July but disappointed when sixth at Randwick 11 days later and was spelled. Nice trial win at Hawkesbury and can kick-off this prep with a win. Magic Shadow scored a nice win over Rolling Magic three starts back and was half-length of Restonica at Newcastle last start. Fumiko was second in that Newcastle race at her first run for a new stable.
Bet: Bartolf to win
