Injured star jockey Jamie Kah has begun the next phase of her recovery, at home reunited with “the best” parents, partner Ben Melham and her beloved horses.
Kah on Thursday posted on social media for the first time since her fall at Flemington on March 11.
“Seeing Brax today was the best thing for me and my mushy brain,” Kah posted on Instagram nuzzled up alongside retired racehorse Brax.
“It’s the only thing that has helped. Can’t thank everyone for all their nice words and thoughts, you’ve been amazing, I can’t thank you enough.
“I have the best parents that care so much and (Ben Melham) you’ve gone above and beyond for me. I’m a very lucky girl.”
Kah sustained a heavy concussion after falling from Flyball in the VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes.
Kah was transferred to a rehabilitation facility last week after a fortnight at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
There is no timeline on Kah’s return to the saddle, with the focus solely on her recovery.
