FOUR-PLAY: $200 BETTING STRATEGY

RACE 3: BENCHMARK 70 (1600m)

$25 each-way MOVEFORLEX (5) at $7.50/$2.40

Solid from midfield first-up at Wodonga and better for the fitness. First run in five months so entitled to need the pipe opener. Moveforlex has won twice in as many starts at 1600m and is proven second-up. Going to need a good ride from barrier eight but more than capable of being in the finish in an even and open race. Stablemate PRINCEOFNOTTINGHAM (6) not without a chance either after a solid win at The Valley last start.

RACE 5: MAGIC MILLIONS VIC 2YO CLASSIC (1100m)

$50 win BACASH (1) at $2.40

Short enough but exposed form and race experience must be respected against so many unraced two-year-olds. Could be a star among them, but happy to find out with Bacash. Drawn to be prominent and last start second in the Group 3 Maribyrnong Plate (1000m) reads very well for this – closed late to get within a length of stablemate Tycoon Star. Winkers applied first time – jumped out well in them last week – to focus the Cosmic Force colt for the Magic Millions qualifier.

RACE 6: MAGIC MILLIONS VIC 3YO & 4YO CLASSIC (1200m)

$50 win MIRAVAL ROSE (3) at $2.90

Expected to run well last Saturday but held over a week due to uncertainty around the weather and conditions. Super first-up on the course proper at Caulfield, loomed to win but peaked on the run to go down 1¼ lengths behind Kin and Pharari, who was touched off in the race at Ballarat last Saturday by the smart Miss Roumbini. Miraval Rose has placed second-up previously and twice at 1200m. Respect MISS ALTAIR (8) shooting for a hat-trick and YES LULU (7) coming off a track and distance maiden win.

RACE 10: BENCHMARK 84 (1200m)

$25 each-way INHIBITIONS (9) at $6/$2.20

Doesn’t win out of turn, three of 21 starts, but bursting to get the job done of late. Runner-up the past two starts in Sydney in stronger company than this. The Zoustar mare chased home the smart Briasa two starts back and last month finished 1¼ lengths behind Uzziah at Newcastle in a Benchmark 94. The four-year-old mare has placed twice third-up previously.

QUADZILLA

LEG 1 – RACE 7

AWESOME LINEUP (11) has raced consistently in easier company, won three back and runner-up the past two starts. Drawn out but Damian Lane aboard to navigate a path to victory. BON MISTRESS (5) has firmed $7 into $5.50 since the market opened last Wednesday. Middle alley and champion jockey Craig Williams in the saddle. LYGON STREET LUIGI (12) could be hard to catch if he gets an easy time in front. Include EASY DUN (9).

1ST LEG: 5, 9, 11, 12

LEG 2 – RACE 8

BOLD PRINT (6) has speed to burn and won nicely at The Valley last start. Strikes another winnable race here. BOSTON ROCKS (11) has won twice first-up previously and must be respected despite being drawn out. GRAND LARCENY (15) in the mix after good 955m win at The Valley last start. Include top weight PHILOSOPHER (1).

2ND LEG: 1, 6, 11, 15

LEG 3 – RACE 9

WARNIE (3) looks mighty hard to beat. Could easily be undefeated in three Australian starts but luckless the past two, placed third on each occasion. Easily best backed with Ladbrokes – both volume of money and number of bets – $2.70 into $2.15 since the market opened. BRITISH COLUMBIA (9) not without a chance down in the weights.

3RD LEG: 3, 9

LEG 4 – RACE 10

ZOU SENSATION (7) going for a hat-trick of wins and hard to hold out despite rising in grade. Should be right in the firing line from a low draw. INHIBITIONS (9) a definite threat down from Sydney with three runs under the belt. Runner-up the past two starts in stronger grade. WHY WORRY (5) touched off last start at The Valley. Include VONGOLE (10) at odds.

4TH LEG: 5, 7, 9, 10

COST $100 FOR 78%
