I WISH I WIN

Peter Moody: “He gets to have a more conventional prep for The Everest this time around. First-up, three weeks, three weeks grand final. It’s a perfect preparation for a horse like him. He’s still in Queensland enjoying the sun, rolling along doing a bit of evens and he’s not far off having a gallop so I’ll get him home in the next couple of weeks.”

Possible target races: Moir Stakes (September 7), Manikato Stakes (September 27)

Grand Final: The Everest (October 19)

CHAIN OF LIGHTNING

Moody: “She returned home from Brisbane last week and looks great. She’s a TJ Smith winner so you have to consider her an Everest horse. Wet track, rock hard fit. She will course a different path to I Wish I Win.”

Possible target races: The Shorts (September 21), Premiere Stakes (October 5)

Grand Final: The Everest (October 19)

AUTUMN ANGEL

Moody: “I don’t think she’ll be nommed for the Cups. I said to the owners she had a pretty deep three-year-old season. I think she’ll be more an Empire Rose horse, a mile this spring. If I throw in a nom for a feature it might be the Cox Plate more so than the Caulfield Cup. She’s up in Queensland in work and you’ll see her late September, early October. A light spring with a view to 2025.”

Possible target races: Still to be decided.

Grand Final: Empire Rose Stakes (November 2)

ENEEZA

Moody: “She came down from Brisbane last week. She’s back end of spring.

Possible target races: Three-year-old fillies races. Her form will dictate if we get to the Coolmore or stick to her own sex.

Grand Final: Coolmore Stud Stakes (November 2)

LIFE LESSONS

Moody: “She looks enormous. Been off for the best part of a year now, her last run was the Empire Rose last year. She’s pre-trained so we’ll just tick her through. On her best she might be a Toorak horse, at her worst she’ll be competing in those mares set-weight and penalties races.”

Possible target races: Toorak Handicap (October 12), Empire Rose Stakes (November 2)

ROLL ON HIGH

Moody: “She’s still out and will be right at the back end.”

Possible target races: Rising Fast Stakes (November 2)

Grand Final: Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (November 16)
