LIVERPOOL have appointed Jurgen Klopp as their new manager, but he wasn’t the only man in the running to replace Brendan Rodgers.
After the club announced that the German had signed on the dotted line, a letter, addressed to a Mr Kneale and signed by Liverpool CEO Ian Ayre, has been doing the rounds on social media, with the former being informed his application for the managerial role had not been accepted.
“We are unable to process your interest as we are looking for someone with more experience in the professional game.
“In relation to the experience that you have provided, taking Portsmouth Football Club from the 2nd Division and going on to winning the Premier League and Champions League in four seasons on Fifa 15, is not the required standard.”
Whether the letter is real or not remains to be seen, but it’s good to see someone out there has a sense of humour ... let’s hope it’s Ayre!
