Bruno Fornaroli takes over Melbourne City’s twitter account: Hints he could become an Australian citizen

IN a potentially massive boost for the Socceroos, Bruno Fornaroli has hinted he could become an Australian citizen after taking over Melbourne City’s twitter account.

BRUNO Fornaroli has hinted that he could one day become an Australian citizen.

The injured striker, who took over Melbourne City’s twitter account for the clash with Western Sydney Wanderers, congratulated a friend on his citizenship before inferring he could also become an Aussie.

Fornaroli tweeted from City’s account: “Congratulations to my friend @GermanoJonatan on becoming an Australian citizen! Who knows, maybe me next??? #WSWvMCY #Tuna23”.

If the Uruguayan were to become an Australian citizen, then it could make him eligible to play for the Socceroos.

On April 1, City pranked Australia fans by releasing a statement saying that the prolific striker had become an Australian citizen and would be able to feature for the Socceroos.

The 30-year-old also answered a number of other questions from City fans before their Round six A-League match and then tweeted throughout the game.
