David Warner’s perfect response to fans calling him a cheat at Old Trafford

Australia's David Warner has not enjoyed the most successful of Ashes series.

He might not be scoring runs on the field and struggling with England bowlers but Dave Warner had the perfect response off it after being sledged by a fan at Old Trafford.

In a video of the Australian players walking down a staircase at the ground in Manchester, a fan can clearly be heard yelling “Warner you f*****g cheat”.

To which the 32-year-old turned around, gave a double thumbs up and shouted “wahooo”.

The video has gone viral with fans praising Warner for his jovial and humorous response.

England has, so far this series, not been a happy hunting ground for Warner, in stark contrast to the success he enjoyed at the World Cup earlier this year.

In the Ashes he has just 79 runs across the four Tests - 61 of those coming in the first innings at Headingley.
