Tour Down Under organiser Mike Turtur has a long love affair with the velodrome. So it’s no surprise the Olympic gold medallist and protege Alex Porter are keen to showcase some of the world’s best track riders at the inaugural Track Down Under on Friday.

Meares scores emotional win

OLYMPIC champion Anna Meares says she has not faced this level of internal competition for 10 years after an emotional victory in the women’s sprint at the national titles in Adelaide on Friday night.
