AUSTRALIA has, after losing respect, lost the third Test match in Cape Town.
The home side’s bowlers went through the dispirited Australian batting line up almost without raising a sweat.
Morne Morkel was the pick of the Proteas quicks, finishing with 5-23 and there were two run outs in the 99 minute innings.
Australia was all out for 107 in the 40th over late on the fourth day. They had lost by 322 runs.

ICC ACTS: Steve Smith suspended for role in cheating scandal
The day started amid the raging controversy of the ball tampering incident. Steve Smith and David Warner were stood down from the captaincy and vice captaincy before the team set foot on the field. Later Smith learned he had received a ban from the ICC for his role in the indecent and will miss the fourth Test.
He cut a forlorn figure in the dressing rooms after his brief innings came to an end courtesy of a Morkel short ball.
His return of 142 runs at an average of 23.6 would be disappointment enough, as would the fact South Africa has taken a 2-1 lead in the series, but Smith’s dismal series ends with him temporarily stripped of the captaincy, under investigation by Cricket Australia and suspended by the International Cricket Council.
Earlier in the day Nathan Lyon became the second player to bring up his 300th wicket in the match, achieving the milestone when Tim Paine stumped Kagiso Rabada.
Celebrations of the occasion was considerably more subdued than when Morkel had taken his 300th two days earlier.
Morkel is playing in his final Test series and his 9-110 in this game are the best of career.
South Africa was eventually dismissed for 373 in their second innings, setting Australia over 400 for victory.

It was always going to be an impossible task but was made doubly so by the events occurring around the field.
Cameron Bancroft, David Warner and Steve Smith were booed to and from the field. The crowd vocal in its contempt for the trio involve in the ball tampering incident.
Some members of Australia’s Wave The Flag tour group took the Australian flag off their poles to protest their disgust with the events.
Warner was highest scorer with 32 from 100 balls but once again fell victim to Rabada. Earlier he had even involved in a run out with Cameron Bancroft (26) who was given three demerit points and fined by the ICC during play.
Usman Khawaja fell to spin again, caught at first slip after being deceived by Keshav Maharaj. The spinner dismissed Shaun Marsh (0) next ball but missed his hat trick. Morkel was also on a hat trick when he dismissed Mitch Marsh (16) and Pat Cummins with consecutive deliveries but he too missed out.
