RICKY Ponting knows how to entertain a crowd and although he wasn’t playing in the Sixers’ clash with the Hurricanes at the SCG, his rendition of the Mark Waugh song had fans (and his fellow commentators) in stitches.
Sitting alongside Waugh and Mark Howard, Ponting sang the song and sent social media into a frenzy with fans hailing it “the TV moment of the year”.
It didn’t take long for #RickySinging to start trending.
“The tune was good, I don’t think my singing was any good,” Ponting said afterwards.
