Wicketkeeper Matt Prior played all around a ball which clattered into his off stump, putting Siddle on a hat-trick.
He produced an inswinger which caught Stuart Broad on the boot, raising his arms in celebration when it was given out.
“Especially around the birthday time, I tend to get a lot of messages, the clip always getting sent to me,” Siddle said on Sunday.
“I have to admit I have watched it a fair few times. It’s obviously a good memory I am going to have that’s going to be there forever.
“Different things don’t get remembered as much but that’s something that I will remember for a long time.
“Ashes hat-trick. It’s quite special.”
It was the first hat-trick by an Australian since Glenn McGrath in 2000-2001 and only six have been taken by Test bowlers since.
