PAT Cummins and Josh Hazlewood have produced arguably the two worst dropped catches Australian cricket has ever seen.
On a day where Steve Smith made amends for his recent poor form in the field with a flying effort in slip, his usually reliable pace duo put down a pair of dollys.

On an eventful opening to day two at the Sydney Cricket Ground Cummins provided the Barmy Army with plenty of ammunition after making a meal out of a spooned Tom Curran drive at mid-on that he couldn’t grasp at knee height.

Looking to recover from his embarrassing effort Cummins strode in the following over and found a top edge from England wicketkeeper Moeen Ali when attempting to pull a short delivery.
Hazlewood outdid his fellow quick with an absolute clanger that could well be the biggest sitter we’ve seen on Australian soil.
Ian Chappell and Mark Taylor couldn’t believe what they’d seen from the commentary box.

“At most levels of first grade cricket or above you would expect those to be hung on to.
“It has been an extraordinary morning, really. We have seen a great catch from Steve Smith that started today off.
“Then we have seen two go down that you would expect probably 19 times out of 20 are going to get hung on to.”
