Australia finally grabbed a foothold with a win over Sri Lanka as England’s collapse at the hands of Afghanistan was one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history.

The upsets continued, as the Netherlands stunned South Africa to complete the third round of matches and send a shockwave through the tournament with everyone except Sri Lanka having banked a win - and leaving India and New Zealand as the only undefeated team.
