SuperCoach BBL: Three ways to save your season
SuperCoach BBL is arguably the most unpredictable fantasy sport there is. You’re not alone if your season hasn’t gone to plan so far and there’s thousands of reasons to persist. Here’s three ways you can turn things around.

All is not lost if you entered the New Year with a SuperCoach-BBL induced hangover.
The opening four rounds of the campaign have been a tough slog, with coaches juggling several curve balls from BBL clubs.
Who could have predicted Marcus Stoinis, who took 14 wickets for Melbourne Stars last summer, would not bowl despite Dale Steyn’s early absence?
Or that Dan Christian — who ranked third for points in BBL08 — would have 30 runs and have only bowled five overs after four games?
How you deal with these unforeseen circumstances will determine the course your season takes.
The lower you are in the rankings, the faster you can surge.
The SuperCoach BBL coach — spin king Shane Warne — has surged 18,600 spots in the past two rounds alone.
The beauty about SuperCoach is even if the $25,000 grand prize is beyond you, there are still 13 rounds to push for league glory.
They might not be as attractive as the cash prize, but bragging rights over your mates for a full year will only be sweeter if you’ve copped their sledges after an indifferent start.
With nine rounds still remaining in SuperCoach BBL, plus finals, here’s how you can dig your team out of a hole and finish with a flourish.

1. TARGET ROUNDS
If you gear your trades toward the rounds where points are most likely to be scored, you can ensure your team is loaded with players on the double. Stars such as AB De Villiers, Chris Lynn, Aaron Finch and Kane Richardson will feature twice in Round 13 when Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat have the double.
Give yourself two shots at gaining maximum points by using the vice-captaincy loophole. Put your VC on a player who features early in the round. If you’re happy with their total, you can deploy your C on a player who has a bye or isn’t selected to double your VC score. Click on this link if you’re not sure how.
3. MAKE BRAVE TRADES
You’re not going to make ground in SuperCoach by playing it safe. If that means parting with a big gun such as D’Arcy Short or Marcus Stoinis to strengthen your overall team, then so be it. If you’re already a long way down the rankings, what do you really have to lose?
