A triple treat awaits Supercoach BBL players next round, with three of the most fantasy-relevant teams playing twice.

If you’ve been planning ahead, you’ll be aware Hobart Hurricanes, Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers have the Round 11 double.

Most coaches have been doing everything possible to stockpile players from the Hurricanes, Heat and Strikers in preparation for this crucial fantasy round.

BBL NEWS: DIZZY BACKS STRIKERS TO DEFEND TITLE

Not only are three teams playing twice, but some of the most popular selections in SuperCoach BBL will have two opportunities to amass points.

Chris Lynn, D’Arcy Short and Rashid Khan have doubles in Round 11 and will be selected in most teams who currently figure at the pointy end of the rankings.

While Short still carries a hefty price tag, Lynn and Khan are available for a fraction of their starting price due to quieter games in recent rounds.

If you took a risk and went without this pair in Round 9 or 10, you’re about to bag a serious bargain.

Double game rounds do not guarantee scores in excess of 100, although most teams will boast at least seven and up to a full complement of 11 players with a double this round.

After two monster scores in his past two rounds, Marcus Stoinis will have a rest this week due to Melbourne Stars having a Round 11 bye.

There are positives to both the theory of holding Stoinis through his bye and trading him to bring in a player such as Short.

In the latter plan, you’ll likely bank some money and be able to trade Short straight back to Stoinis in Round 12, with the Stars Round 13 double in mind.

Here’s a short list of other high-quality players with a double in Round 11: Alex Carey, Matthew Wade, Jake Weatherald, Colin Ingram, James Faulkner, Jofra Archer, Majeeb Ur Rahman, Brendon McCullum and Billy Stanlake.

Consider these factors when deciding which players you can squeeze into three trades:

— Hobart Hurricanes play twice in Tasmania in Round 11, however their fixture against the Strikers is in Launceston. In the only game played at UTAS Stadium this season, 14 wickets fell for 217 runs.

— The Strikers are on the road twice, taking on Sydney Sixers and Hobart. Jake Lehmann slotted in at No.3 in Adelaide’s last fixture against Melbourne Stars and is available for about $50,000.

— Brisbane Heat takes on Hobart away before returning to the Gabba to face Perth Scorchers. The Heat have averaged 145 runs in completed games in Brisbane this season, while Lynn has made 14 and 33.

If you’re within striking distance of top spot but have a similar team to those above you, don’t be afraid to pull a few surprise moves in Round 11.

It might be those risks which secures you SuperCoach BBL glory.

TOP TARGETS

Rashid Khan

The Adelaide Strikers star has returned 0-36 and 1-32 in his past two matches, dropping below $200,000 as a result. That’s a bargain for one of the best players in the BBL and he should be your No.1 priority if he isn’t already in your team.

Chris Lynn

Lynn followed a knock of 66 not out against the Renegades with scores of four and two, ensuring his price dropped to $150,600 at the start of Round 10. He should be available for less than that in Round 11.

Brendon McCullum

The former Kiwi skipper returned to form with three consecutive half-centuries earlier this month and has four scores of 27 or better in his last six innings. He’s in 20 per cent fewer teams than Lynn if you prefer a point of difference.

Matthew Wade

Is there a batsman in better form than Wade? He’s compiled 84 not out and 64 in his past two innings, barely looking troubled in the process. He’s tallied 387 runs at 43 with a strike rate of 138 in BBL08. That’s close to 50 Supercoach points an innings.

Alex Carey

The Australian one-day keeper has threatened a monster score but only delivered once in BBL08. He’s managed 28 and 30 in his past two innings and was only in 19 per cent of teams last round. He’s available for cheaper than Wade but just as capable of matching his run-scoring prowess.

Ben Cutting

Cutting can be frustrating for SuperCoaches due to his position in the Heat batting order and the uncertainty on whether he will bowl his full complement of overs. But there’s no question he can be a matchwinner with bat and ball and he’ll be hard to overlook considering he was only $126,400 in Round 10.

POD (POINT OF DIFFERENCE) MOVES

Caleb Jewell

Pending selection, Jewell could be a shrewd pick who is available for about $60,000. He’s batted at No.3 for the Hurricanes in recent games, although that doesn’t guarantee a long stint at the crease considering the form Short and Wade have been in.

Riley Meredith

The paceman is still in less than 10 per cent of teams despite his breakout summer. Meredith regularly bowls four overs for Hobart and his importance to the club’s bowling stocks will only increase after the retirement of Johan Botha.

Jon Wells

Wells is a risky pick due to his position at No.5 for the Strikers, but there’s no question he has enjoyed a strong BBL campaign. He’s scored 22 runs or better in six of his 10 innings and can be added to your team for about $100,000.

Jake Lehmann

Lehmann marked his return to the Strikers side with 40 against Melbourne Stars in Moe. That should be enough to ensure he locks in the No.3 spot for Adelaide’s Round 11 double and he’s available for about $50,000. If you need a way to make money, Lehmann is your man.
