Australia v Sri Lanka Test 2 Day 4: Hosts bullish on chances of pulling off miracle, avoiding series sweep

Despite the third umpire denying Nathan Lyon a five-wickte haul, Australia is closing in on a whitewash series win over Sri Lanka. Follow the action live!

Can Sri Lanka set a competitive total?

Australia is on course for a series whitewash over Sri Lanka, with the hosts in a world of pain on day four of the second Test in Galle.

Four wickets to each of Nathan Lyon and Matt Kuhnemann and two from Beau Webster saw Sri Lanka bowled out for 231 early on Sunday, leaving Australia a target of just 75 to win.

With the pitch offering plenty of turn, Australia raced to 1-52 in the first 12 overs, with Travis Head the lone man out for 20. Australia last won a Test series in Sri Lanka in 2011, and last whitewashed a team in Asia in 2006.
