Australia v Sri Lanka: Cooper Connolly set to make Test debut

Cooper Connolly will make his Test debut today, marking a rapid rise to a baggy green after only playing four first-class matches for Western Australia. FOLLOW DAY 1 LIVE

Australia is set to unveil its fourth debutant in as many Tests with West Australian Cooper Connolly to receive his baggy green this morning in Galle.

The 21-year-old left-arm spinning all-rounder will be included to face Sri Lanka in the second Test.

Connolly has played for Australia in both white-ball formats but does not have a first-class wicket.

He does, however, average more than 60 with the bat in the Sheffield Shield.

SESSION TIMES (AEDT)

Session 1: 3.30pm - 5.30pm

Session 2: 6.10pm - 8.10pm

Session 3: 8.30pm - 10.30pm

* An extra 30 minutes can be used to complete daily overs
