Alyssa Healy passed an aerobic activity test in Antigua today and will do low velocity skills training tomorrow in her bid to play in Friday’s (AEDT) cut throat World T20 semi-final against the West Indies.
The star Australian opening batter and wicketkeeper was concussed after a mid-pitch collision with bowler Megan Schutt during Australia’s pool loss to India on Sunday morning (AEDT).
She must pass a series of tests before she is given the green light to play by Cricket Australia doctor Pip Inge, with the next step light training.
HEAD KNOCKS: ICC MUST TAKE CONCUSSION SERIOUSLY
If she has no effects from her light session, she will face full training the day before the semi-final.
A concussion test is the final hurdle.
Healy posted a note on social media thanking fans for their support.
