HE’S known as the stats man, but ‘The Supernerd’ Issa Schultz is hoping to garner the title ladies man in his new quest for love on the glitter strip.
The English Australian TV personality, best known for his role as a ‘chaser’ on popular quiz show The Chase, is based in Brisbane but has been on the Gold Coast to soak up the Commonwealth Games action.
And — with any luck — hopefully land a lady.
“I would say I’m unlucky in love,” the 34-year-old told Games Confidential.
“My previous girlfriend, apologies to her, sounds like a lady of the evening, her name was Candy.
“She’s happily married now so that’s out of the equation.
“Look I’ve got a lot of love to give. I’m a nine-time uncle now so that’s painful for me seeing my siblings with kids and I haven’t even got to the relationship stage.
“But it’s been a while since I’ve been back here on the Gold Coast, it’s wonderful and very exciting to be here.”
His regular haunt to find his dream woman has been Netherworld in Brisbane, a gaming arcade bar, but so far he’s had no luck finding the covalent to his bond.
“I’m very old fashioned so I don’t do the internet dating thing,” he said.
“I think if there’s a beauty and the geek remake I need to be given the call up for it.
“But I do like substance, I must admit.
“We don’t have to talk about chemical elements on the periodic table but I do think it’s nice to have an intelligent discussion about something.”
