THE world’s greatest athlete has landed in Brisbane this morning before making his way to the Gold Coast for the final days of the Commonwealth Games.
Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt was pictured with Games’ mascot Borobi at Brisbane International Airport before being escorted out by security.
The Olympic gold medal champion sprinter is now on his way to the Gold Coast for the Commonwealth Games where he will cheer on his fellow Jamaican athletes.
Bolt said he was “glad” to be in Queensland and also posted a photo to Twitter with Borobi along with the caption “game time”.
It is Bolt’s first time visiting the Gold Coast and said he wasn’t sure what to expect.
“People have said it’s a nice place and the beaches are here so we’ll see if I get to go to the beach,” he said.
He will be cheering on his fellow athletes at the Games and said he expected them to always try their best.
“We’re a big track nation so I expect the best from them,” he said.
It won’t just be the track and field events Bolt will be attending either, with the champion runner also planning to watch the Jamaican netball team.
