The 2024 National Futsal Championships have drawn to a close after five days of exciting play at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre.
While states and territories from across the country gathered with the goal to dominate, only one could claim the prestigious inaugural Member Federation Championship: NSW.
Now, we reveal the top performers from every age group, every state.

TOP PERFORMERS
Football NSW
Clare Holder – Open Women Lightning
Clare is a dynamic player, with superior game IQ. She is a renowned finisher and will back up her team with defensive duties, putting her body on the line for a win.
Tea Mucenski – Open Women Lightning
A natural born ‘baller’, Tea is a star in the Open competition and is still only 16 years old.
Kingston Obednikovski – U14 Boys Lightning
Kingston’s calmness on the ball mixed with his physical attributes make him a danger player for any opposition. Kingston has the ability to dominate opponents and create goal scoring chances for his team, as well as firing them in the back of the net himself.
Isaac Frketic – U14 Boys Lightning
Isaac’s silky skills make him a difficult player for opposition players to defend. His fast feet and exciting ball work combined with his futsal intelligence will make him a player for everyone to keep their eyes on.
Hannah Spannenberg – U15 Girls Thunder
If you’re looking for a player to make the headlines, look no further than between the posts. Hannah is a goalkeeper with experience beyond her age and a fearless and determined mindset. Her ability to read the game, confidence to play against the best of the best, and willingness to learn makes Hannah someone to keep an eye on moving forward.
Molly Ewer – U15 NSW Country Girls
Molly is a shot stopping extraordinaire. If you were to look up brave in the dictionary there would be a picture of Molly. A leader both on and off the court.
Jye Morgan – U15 NSW Country Boys
A player blessed with great technical ability and composure on and off the ball, his sharp defensive movement makes him a hard player to beat.
Football Queensland
Charles, Warr – U12 Maroon
Charles is an intelligent player with good feet, use of body when under pressure and very good movement around the court. He likes to play high and is a very good finisher with quick feet in one-on-one situations.
Orlando Lopez – Open Men
An exciting young enthusiastic attacking player who can score from any situation. A player who is fast and agile on court, Orlando has the ability to create scoring chances from little space and opportunity.
Josie Rothwell – U17 Girls
Josie’s technical ability and tactical sense make her a formidable force on the field.
Isabel Savige – U13 Girls White
Issy is lightning on her feet and boasts a killer pass from anywhere on the court. Her determination and leadership on court makes her a force to be reckoned with.
Wyatt Menicanin – U15 Boys
An emerging goalkeeper who at the age of 15 has already represented Queensland on several occasions, Wyatt is already playing futsal at the highest level in Queensland (F League).
Abbi Dunn – U13 Girls Maroon
Abbi is a player whose Futsal ability in both defence and attack is at a level that is above her age.
Kallum Chalker – U12 Boys White
An exciting attacking talent who will go 100% from the opening whistle, Kallum has an eye for goal and loves taking defenders on one-on-one with a superb passing range to bring his teammates into play.
Matthew Joubert – Youth Men
A player ahead of the rest, he is a smart Futsal player with the ability to create and use space ruthlessly.
Sachin Prasad – Youth Men
One of the standout players in his age group, Sachin is another highly intelligent player who creates space for himself and others and is highly effective in tight situations.
Rosa Maher – U15 Girls
Very calm and composed in possession, Rosa has excellent ball control with both feet. Rosa is only 15 years old, though she has played a season in open women’s and has played some exciting futsal at the top level.
Liam Donoghue – U16 Boys
Having a plenty of experience in the F-League this year and a returning player from last year's National Championship team, Liam flourished during Queensland’s stint on the national stage.
Lucas Strbac – U13 Boys
Lucas is a very skilful player and can play in different positions on the court. He brings a lot of intensity to the court, helping the team to create a lot of goals scoring opportunities.
Kyla Hanson – Open Women White
Kyla is a potent goalscoring threat with clinical finishing in the attacking third. Combine that with their Kyla’s work ethic on the court and you’ve got a player who not only finds the net but also contributes defensively. Moreover, Kyla’s technical prowess, showcased through precise ball control and skilful manoeuvres, adds an extra layer to her overall game, making her a captivating player to watch.

Sienna Calvanese – U15 Girls
Sienna is an exciting and dynamic young player to watch. Dedicated and driven to succeed with silky skills, Sienna is sure to make an impression at Futsal Nationals. She has a winning mentality and loves competition.
William Stronnar – U16 Boys
William is a great player who is extremely talented and very versatile. Will is a great leader on the field and gets players into the game.
Sebastian Politis – U15 Boys
Alongside his leadership qualities, Seb is passionate, committed, and genuine. He has great awareness of his surroundings with and without the ball. He is always encouraging his teammates and demanding the best out of them.
Akira Lim – U15 Boys
A young player who uses both left and right foot efficiently, Akira is sharp, determined and clinical. On and off the pitch, Akira is quiet, calm and organised, which allows him to play high quality football under a lot of pressure.
Mitchell Magro – U15 Boys
Mitchell is extremely talented with extremely close ball control and can quickly create space to shoot. When in his zone, he is a difficult player to defend. He is not shy of performing unique goal celebrations when he scores as well.
Lucy Wicks – U13 Girls Red
The most essential trait of a player is their love for the game, which is evident with Lucy. Lucy has strength, both mentally and physically, great tactical knowledge, can make smart decisions, and has great touch and ball control.
Football Tasmania
Jack Maundrill – U16 Boys
Jack is the captain of Tasmania’s U16 because of his leadership but also his winning drive. He’s a fantastic player who turns heads on the big stage.
Oliver White – U16 Boys
Has the ability to get you a goal when you need one, Oliver is a state representative in both futsal and football
Cooper White – U15 Boys
Always an attacking threat from deep with a never give up attitude. Cooper is a state representative both in outdoor and futsal
Oskar Kudelka – U15 Boys
Brings out the best in those around him and reads the game well.
Sam Giles – U12 Boys
Master of the fundamentals, Sam has an exceptionally good futsal mind and understands the game well.
Jacob Murfet – U12 Boys
Technical and powerful, Jacob is a player to break games open.
Capital Football
Tehya Aspland – U15 Girls
Tehya has great natural ability that can cause headaches for the opposition, her strong game awareness and technical ability creates plenty of opportunities for her teammates.
Kiran Vikan – U12 Boys
Tactically one of the top players in Canberra, Kiran is both a defensive stronghold and an offensive powerhouse with the ability to score both for group movements and a capable transition player.
Lucija Peric – U15 Girls
Lucija is a smart player who has a strong technical ability to use both feet when in position, her ability to pick out a killer pass causes headaches for the opposition.
Michael Pratezina – U15 Boys
Although only being 15, Michael’s game and knowledge of the game exceeds far greater than others. His maturity and understanding of the game are second to none. He is a silky player that can play on both feet and can wrong foot his opposition at any time, and when needed, provide the perfect pass to his teammate to score.
Olivia Medina – U13 Girls
A relative newcomer to futsal who has had immediate impact with her high energy level and team first mentality. Olivia was the Capital Football U14 player of the year in 2023 made an instant impact at her first National Futsal Championships.
Isabella, Hindmarsh – Open Women’s
Highly press-resistant with outstanding control, first touch and sharp passing ability. Possesses an inspiring work ethic on and off-the-ball further complimenting her qualities in transition and defence.
Football West
Ahmet Atak – U14 – South Perth Alliance FC
Ahmet – like his name – is an attacking threat, being able to threaten the goals from multiple areas. Although it is his first trip to the nationals, Ahmet is far from a novice – having played futsal for years. Ahmet took out the prestigious award of Lynwood SHS Football Specialist Program, 2023 Futsal Player of the Year.
Bastian Dominguez – U14 – Subiaco AFC
Bastian is a hardworking target player who excels in high press to regain ball possession. He is lethal in front of goal.
Thomas McCarthy – U14 – Cockburn Wolves Futsal Club (Goalkeeper).
Thomas returns for his second National Championships in goals having had a successful campaign in 2023. He is renowned for his shot stopping ability, having saved multiple penalties. He also doesn’t mind a cheeky goalie run if the situation presents itself.
