The Hornet’s nest is buzzing again.
Former world boxing champion Jeff Horn and wife Jo have welcomed their third daughter, a baby girl named Elizabeth.
Born via C-section a week ago, Elizabeth came in at a healthy 3.81kg and joins siblings Isabelle, 4, and Charlotte, 2. Horn, who went into Queensland folklore with his stunning WBO welterweight world championship win over Filipino legend Manny Pacquiao in 2017, told The Sunday Mail he had no plans to don the gloves again and hoped his growing tribe of girls steered clear of the ring.
“I think my wife would kill me if they wanted to get into boxing and I said “Yes”,” he said.
“I know the stress of what she went through watching my fights, so I imagine it would be pretty hard to watch the girls if they decided they wanted to get in the ring.”
Horn said he was “pretty content” with three children and his work for Bullyproof Australia, where he travels giving talks to schools about the issues of physical and cyber bullying affecting children.
“Sometimes I watch a fight and I miss that feeling of the adrenaline of being in the thick of it, but it’s the 10 to 12 weeks leading up to it that’s no fun,” he said. “Bullyproof Australia is pretty close to my heart, making sure kids are not getting bullied out there.
“I’m pretty content with life at the moment (and) I’m stoked to have three girls.”
