The Aussie was set to face the Brazilian superstar in a brutal battle at his own Craig Jones Invitational this weekend, but took things a step too far.
Jones, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist, is regarded as one of the best grapplers in the business with 55 career wins.
While Garcia, another BJJ icon, has dominated the women’s division with 71 wins — as well as a further six victories in professional MMA fights.
The two decided to fight each other in BJJ due to their similar physical stats, with Garcia actually taller and heavier than her male counterpart.
But it was during the face-off when Jones “crossed the line” and became public enemy number one on social media.
As the two fighters squared up, Jones out of nowhere grabbed Garcia by the head and planted a kiss on her lips.
Garcia recoiled in shock as she swatted Jones away as he ran off laughing.
“You’re a b*tch man, really?” Garcia shouted. “F**k you, you crossed the line.”
Footage of the moment quickly went viral with fans far and wide calling out Jones over the inexcusable act.
One wrote on X: “That’s sexual assault.”
Another declared: “Nah WTF there’s no way this is even real the fact that people even think sexual harassment is funny is scary.”
One noted: “sexually assaulted someone while knowing you’re on camera is f***ing insane.”
One called for Jones to be charged over the act.
The fan wrote on X: “I hope Craig Jones is charged with sexual assault, while they think it's a joke to forcefully kiss a woman.
“What they’ve done is exposed themselves as abusers and sick individuals. What they fail to forget is that they are role models to young men … sick influence.”
As the Craig Jones Invitational gets underway, it remains to be seen if the fight between the two will go ahead.
