The fierce war of words between UFC legend Uriah Hall and three-time kickboxing world champion and Married At First Sight contestant Jayden Eynaud reached its newest height over the weekend.
The feud between the pair has been ongoing for several months and had appeared to die down.
However, Eynaud did not miss the opportunity to stir the pot once again with an expletive-filled speech following his stunning victory at Karate Combat 53.
The former MAFS contesant claimed Hall “f---ing b---hed it and went missing” after Karate Combat tried to organise a fight between the pair before telling Hall to “man the f--- up” in an explosive post-bout call-out.
“I called him out after the fight and I said, ‘you’re calling me out and you’re saying you’re gonna beat me’ and all this crap but then you go quiet,” he said.
“I was pretty verbal about it. I used a whole lot of language in my speech but hopefully that will either shut him up or make him pull his finger out and act on his words.”
Despite the setbacks, Eynaud is still confident the fight can occur, albeit later than originally anticipated after Hall signed a deal to fight Douglas Lima in the Global Fight League
“There’s definitely potential still but that will probably be a little bit further down the line, probably between the next 12 to 24 months,” Eynaud said.
“He was calling me out online for a few weeks and then when me and Asim (Zaidi), who’s the promoter of Karate Combat, we said ‘let’s make this fight happen, we’re gonna do it’ and we tried to get him.
“He just made every excuse and kind of went quiet.
“So he’s signed with another organisation now so basically what he’s telling us is that he wants to have one fight with the other organisation and then he’s gonna come to Karate Combat and then his first fight would most likely be with me.”
Eynaud believes the fight between the pair would be a no-brainer, and would be a ‘win’ for the promoters, himself and Hall.
“We both think we’re better than each other but if you’re being realistic, we’re both good fighters and it would be very entertaining for the crowd,” he said.
“If you put the rivalry in between with how much we dislike each other and all the online beef, not only does that make for a great fight for the fans because we're both hungry, want to smash each other and we’re both skilled.
“It will bring a lot of promotion in a lot of money in for the event, for myself and Uriah Hall.”
Eynaud dealt a stunning knockout blow to Julius Anglickas during his Karate Combat 53 bout despite taking the fight up on just four days notice, with a move he almost manifested on social media in the days leading up to the event.
“That was pretty cool, I’ve got two or three spinning backfist knockouts and a couple of spinning back elbow knockouts now so it is becoming a little bit of a trademark at the moment,” he said.
“It was a very short notice fight. I took it on four days notice which was pretty hard.
“I had been out the last couple of weekends partying, hadn’t really been training too much.
“It was in a different division, with jet lag, it was in Denver which has a lot of elevation as well, so everything was against me.
“So to go into that and get a first round knockout was pretty good.
“If that’s what I can do on four days notice after partying for a couple of weeks, not really training too much, imagine what I can do on a full camp and people have already seen that. “I’ve had two fights in Karate Combat (and) two knockouts - both in the first round.”
