Barry Hall has declared he would “love” a rematch with NRL great Paul Gallen after Friday night’s pulsating draw at Margaret Court Arena.
Although, the former Sydney Swans premiership skipper said it would have to be worth his while and stressed he would consider his family before committing to another fight.
“It’s probably a family decision now, not a me decision,” Hall told the Herald Sun.
“Being away from my boys for two months is tough and it’s tough on my partner.
“But look, I’d love to fight him again absolutely if the circumstances are right.
“It’s got to be worth my while, but it’s a family decision rather than me and what I want to do.”
Hall was sporting a black eye this morning but said he had pulled up well from his first professional fight.
“I feel good actually, I don’t feel like I’ve had a fight,” he said.
“It looks like I have but I’m feeling really good.
“We got so much amazing support and so many messages, and I’ve read all of them this morning so thanks everyone for reaching out.”
Gallen was left fuming by the judges’ majority draw decision, although there were boxing experts who believed Hall won the fight.
Hall would not be drawn on the outcome.
“I don’t know, I’m not going to be one of these guys that say that they won,” he said,
“It’s a draw and that’s what they (the judges) dished up and every boxer that’s ever fought thinks they’ve won.
“They say it’s a draw and I need to put up with that.”

The AFL great said he had been blown away by the support both he and the fight had received.
“It slowly gained momentum I guess,” he said.
“The last week has been insane in terms of coverage it’s got, so that’s fantastic.
“I wasn’t in this to make a mockery of anyone and it wasn’t a money grab or anything like that.
“I wanted to give a good account of myself against a legitimate opponent, and hopefully people have seen that and it looks like it got the support it deserved.”
