The result was a three-place improvement on her opening day at the meet in Finland for the 31-year-old from Sydney’s northern beaches who boasts two world championship medals and a raft of experience.

Scott, who has been to two previous Winter Olympics but cursed with a string of injuries since the last event in Korea, pulled out a double full-full double twisting double back somersault for a score of 89.18 points in the one jump competition.

Scott is now in Europe competing after a year spent recovering form injury and valuable training time at the new Olympic Winter Training Centre water jump facility in Brisbane.
