NEW York Yankees baseballer Alex Rodriguez is dating Anne Wojcicki, the ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, the New York Post can exclusively reveal.

In a distinct departure from his usual type, Alex — who in the past has been linked to the likes of Madonna, Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson — has been seeing wealthy and wildly smart Wojcicki for over a month, we’re told.

The couple was at Graydon Carter’s power player-packed pre-Super Bowl gathering in San Francisco, where they were pictured together.

Rodriguez and Wojcicki were also last week spotted dining with friends at Bern’s Steak House in Florida, where he was in town for spring training.

A-Rod was also in the audience when Wojcicki, CEO and co-founder of genetic research firm 23andMe, spoke at a satellite event for the Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting in Tampa.

A source told us of their new relationship, “Alex and Anne are spending time together and have been on a few dates. It is very new. He finds her interesting, inspirational and very smart”.

Rodriguez has found one of the few single women actually richer than himself — Wojcicki is said to be worth billions after her divorce from Brin was finalised last year. Brin famously had a relationship with Google employee Amanda Rosenberg in early 2013, after he and Wojcicki had separated.

Yale graduate Wojcicki co-founded 23andMe in 2006 after a decade in health care investing to give consumers personalised genetic information about their health and ancestry. The company also participates in genetic research into diseases including Parkinson’s and asthma.

Wojcicki spoke at the Professional BusinessWomen of California conference on Tuesday and said of gender bias in the workplace, “There are men, women and a**holes. You just have to avoid the a**holes”.

And, “I had a fairly public divorce, and the family therapist said the way you handle this will impact your grandchildren ... How you live your life will impact generations to come.”

Rodriguez recently told ESPN.com that he will hang up his cleats after the 2017 season when his contract with the team runs out.

The PED-tainted slugger returned from a one-season suspension last year and belted 33 home runs with 86 RBIs even as he faded under the weight of playing 151 games.

“I won’t play after next year,” Rodriguez told the website. “I’ve really enjoyed my time. For me, it is time for me to go home and be dad.”

A-Rod will earn $40 million over the final two seasons of the 10-year, $275 million deal he signed before the 2008 season.

The 40-year-old Rodriguez also played with the Mariners and Rangers and currently sits in fourth place with 687 career home runs, 27 behind Babe Ruth in third.

Reps for Rodriguez, Wojcicki and 23andMe didn’t comment.
