Who is the new NFL MVP frontrunner with the superstar fiancée? NFL Week 14 preview
It was a Thanksgiving Week for the ages for the new MVP frontrunner, and can anyone outside the top 4 contend for the Super Bowl?

Following a chaotic Thanksgiving Week that saw a record 12 one-score games – and a raft of inexplicable, boneheaded decisions on the field (and off) – plus another coach getting his marching orders (seeya, Matt Eberflus), Week 14 of the NFL looms as a critical, playoff-shaping week.
With only five rounds remaining in the season and this week featuring six in-division battles, NFL fans can sink their teeth into the final quarter of the season with all the aplomb of Jameis Winston cutting a promo.

But, as the playoffs round into shape with just over a month to go in the season, there are four legitimate contenders that currently stand above the rest of the field: Kansas City (11-1) and Buffalo (10-2) in the AFC and Detroit (11-1) and Philly (10-2) in the NFC.
Three of those four teams are top 4 in DVOA, with the Chiefs the lone exception: despite an 11-1 record, KC is ranked 12th thanks mostly to a janky offence that’s ranked 11th in points per game and 15th in yards per outing.
Still, anyone who doubts the reigning back-to-back Super Bowl champs and Patrick Mahomes’ ability to get out a jam with a win need only rewatch the botched snap that sailed into Aidan O’Connell’s face to gift KC another win last week for proof that the Chiefs seemingly have the universe on their side.
So, can anyone outside that top four make and win the Super Bowl?
Well, sure, but there’s a hefty gap between those four favourites and the field.
Elsewhere, the list of wannabe contenders fluctuates from week to week: Pittsburgh (9-3) just keeps winning, Green Bay (9-3) is rounding into form at the exact right time, while Baltimore (8-5) looked all out of sorts last week at home against the Eagles, and it’s hard to make sense of 10-2 Minnesota’s ability to keep winning close games beyond ‘well, their defence is good’, and as such, they’re currently the 7th favourite going by oddsmakers.
The MVP race has also sung dramatically in the last few weeks, with Buffalo’s Josh Allen now the frontrunner ahead of Lamar Jackson.
That caps an impressive week for Allen - after he got engaged to actor Hailee Steinfeld and managed to notch a rushing, passing and catching TD in the game against the Niners: two of which came on the same play.

As for other trends, following a Week 13 that delivered so many close games – favourites are winning at a 52.5% clip across the season, while total point over-unders remain slightly slanted towards the over, hitting at 52.9% for the year.
With the season now hitting its crescendo and essentially 13 teams out of the running for the playoffs, Week 14 should set up the final month of the season as a dogfight for playoff spots.
As for the Aussie NFL players, Jordan Mailiata of the Eagles has continued his great form, and Baltimore’s Daniel Faalele has been much better the past four weeks, while the Aussie punters – Michael Dickson, Matthew Hayball and Tory Taylor – are all having excellent seasons, while Mitch Wishnowsky is dealing with a back injury for the Niners and is on IR.
Either way, Aussie NFL fans have a terrific Week 14 slate to dig into, so watch the NFL Straya breakdown above to see who should win and why.
