Absurd price of NFL quarterback’s engagement ring

The NFL quarterback signed to an eye-watering $350 million contract has dropped an absolute fortune for his pop singer partner.

Deshaun Watson and his longtime girlfriend are going to be Mr. and Mrs.

Watson, the controversial Cleveland Browns quarterback, and Jilly Anais have announce their engagement in a joint Instagram post, sharing photos of the beach proposal and Anais’ large diamond ring, The New York Post reports.

Anais, 29, is celebrating more than her relationship update. Her engagement ring has been valued at an obscene $4 million, according to jeweller Vikar Ahmed, TMZ Sports reported.

The Browns quarterback — who signed a fully guaranteed five-year, $350 million contract with Cleveland in 2022 — worked with Ahmed for seven months to design the diamond, which is called “The Glory Treasure.”

Anais’ ring features 18k white gold and it is a Type IIA by GIA, which is recognised as the purest chemical diamond in the world, according to Ahmed — adding that it includes colour D-E-F & clarity IF to VVS.

“At the heart of this exquisite piece lies a premium D centre diamond, renowned for its perfect cut and exceptional colour & flawless clarity,” said Ahmed, who crafted the Anais’ ring in Idar-Oberstein, Germany.

“This diamond engagement ring is not just a piece of jewellery; it is a declaration of commitment, a celebration of craftsmanship, and a mark of prestige.

“With its breathtaking design and the story behind its creation, it stands as a testament to the beauty of love and the artistry of high jewellery.”

It’s unclear where exactly Watson proposed.

The couple’s families were present, as seen in their engagement photos, which also featured a beach.

Watson commemorated their fifth anniversary with a giant back tattoo of Anais’ face last July.

The couple has been together since July 2019 after first meeting in Los Angeles.

Anais, 29, is a pop singer, actress and author of a cookbook.

She remained committed to Watson after he faced mounting sexual misconduct allegations in 2021 from roughly two dozen massage therapists.

Two Texas grand juries declined to indict Watson on criminal charges in March 2022, and he has settled most of the civil lawsuits filed against him.

The allegations kept the Texans from playing Watson during the entire 2021 season.

He was then traded to the Browns in the offseason and signed a fully guaranteed five-year, $350 million contract with Cleveland.

The allegations ultimately led to Watson getting suspended the first 11 games of the 2022 season, delaying his Browns debut.

Another sexual assault lawsuit was filed against Watson this past September, with Watson denying the allegations.

In three seasons with the Browns, Watson has started just 19 games, during which the team has gone 9-10.

Watson has thrown for 3,365 yards, 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions with the Browns.

He suffered a season-ending Achilles injury Week 7 of the 2024 season, and he re-ruptured the Achilles in January, putting his entire 2025 campaign in jeopardy.

The Browns recently acquired Kenny Pickett in a trade with the Eagles and hosted free agent Russell Wilson last week.
