DID you miss last night's AFL television shows? Rewind and catch up on all the hot topics and big issues discussed.

AFL 360

* Robbo and Gerard forensically examine the MRP findings. Robbo says Matthew Pavlich has to wear his three-game ban given the dangerous nature of his bump. He mentions how local star Casey Tutungi recently became a quadriplegic on the footy field.

* Whateley says the reform the game has gone through in regards to the head-high bump has been good for the sport.

Stevie J on thin ice

* Robbo says Shaun Burgoyne is incredibly stiff to cop two weeks. "Two weeks for that?! That's just a free kick". He says the Hawks should appeal.

* Robbo says North Melbourne has been the most disappointing team of the year. The Roos again coughed up a lead, going down to the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night.

* They say Michael Voss has turned his fortunes around. "Right now Michael Voss has surely won over the board", Robbo says.

* Robbo says he believes the Hawks have pushed their offer to Lance Franklin up one extra year and more money. He says he doesn't believe Hawthorn knows if Buddy will stay or head to GWS.

* Collingwood assistant coach Rodney Eade says veteran Ben Johnson, who retired today, was a "very honest and passionate footy man".

Johnson hangs up the boots

* Rocket Eade says the contentious Nathan Hrovat advantage decision, which cost the Western Bulldogs a goal in the last quarter against Essendon, was wrong. "It was continuous. Definitely advantage," he said.

Ump's right call

* Rocket says he's not sure why Travis Cloke doesn't get more free kicks.

* Bomber Thompson says he would have drafted Dyson Heppell to Geelong if he had the chance back then. He says he can see similarities to Scott Pendlebury.

ON THE COUCH

* Paul Roos reiterates that he hasn't spoken to anyone at Melbourne about the vacant coaching position since taking a call from chief executive Peter Jackson last month. "That's the last thing I've heard" he said.

* Mike Sheahan says Fremantle is a genuine premiership chance after its derby win on Sunday. He said he wasn't certain the Dockers would beat Richmond on Sunday, but come September and with more miles in the legs of their veteran stars they were looking very healthy.

* Roos says North Melbourne is a "see ball, get ball" midfield, which lacks accountability.

* Gerard says the MRP had a "pretty good week". Mike says Stevie Johnson was lucky to escape with one week for kneeing Nathan Jones.

* Roos says the Cats' leaders would probably have a chat with Johnson this week and say "enough is enough" after copping yet another suspension. He says the coach would have a blunt conversation with him.

* Retired GWS veteran Chad Cornes joins the panel. He says moving from Port Adelaide to the Giants was one of the best decisions he ever made.

* "Our list in 2-3 years time will be up there with the best in the AFL," Cornes says.

* Cornes says the Giants need to target about 4-5 experienced players. He says a ruckman, a key defender, a rebounding defender and ace midfielder are at the top of the shopping list.

* Cornes says that "about 90 per cent" of the list has been re-signed. He says there might be 2-3 unsigned kids and if they want to return home they could be used as bait to lure experience.

* Cornes says coach-in-waiting Leon Cameron runs most of the meetings during the week. He and Sheedy share coaching responsibilities on match day.

* Cornes says Jeremy Cameron is the best young talent he's played with and also one of the most courageous he's played with.

* Cornes says he'd love Buddy Franklin to sign at the Giants. "I think what he would bring and the interest he would create in a tough market ... the more interest we can grow and attract the club (the better)."

* But Cornes says Buddy shouldn't come at the expense of luring an extra 3-5 experienced players.

OPEN MIKE WITH SIMON BEASLEY

* Beasley says Doug Hawkins was the most amazing player he played with. "His skills were just sublime," he said, adding it was "unbelievable" to play at full-forward with Hawkins on a wing.

* Beasley retired from the stock market in 2000 and became a bookie. His four-year suspension for breaching betting regulations (he took 1,598 bets totalling $3.8 million in turnover without lodging them with racing authorities)  just ended, while he was also fined $50,000. On the punishment, he said: "I think it was unfair in terms of what we did, but you move on. We took our medicine."

* On jockey Damien Oliver's 10-month suspension for placing a $10,000 bet on a rival horse in his race, Beasley said: "I think the Beasley suspension for four years and when you line it up against a jockey with $10,000 on a horse (he wasn't riding in a race) leaves a lot of questions in my mind.

* "I’ve got nothing against Damien. But it’s a bad look for the industry."

* Beasley says  the judge that sentenced him was "rich" to call him disgraceful. He says he's undecided whether he'll get a new bookies licence down the track and predicted the demise of on-course bookies, given the explosion of corporate bookmakers..

* Beasley said he bet regularly during his footy days. He told his coach in 1983 he'd often have $2-3000 on Bulldog matches he was playing in. But he never bet against the Dogs.

* Beasley says betting is an easy trap for players to fall into because they've got money and free time.

* Beasley says in the mid-late 1980s he laid a bet from Collingwood players on their match. They bet $10,000 they'd beat Carlton at odds of $2, wanting to double their end-of-season trip fund. The Blues won.

FOOTY CLASSIFIED

* Garry Lyon says the Roos have to wear the tag of down-hill skiers.

* Caroline Wilson says GWS is damaging the brand. "The game against Sydney was embarrassing."

* Caro says Ross Lyon made a big blunder in axing Luke Ball from St Kilda and getting nothing in return. "Ross did not leave Saints better than he arrived".

* Caro says Jams Hird was the main architect for the irregular supplements program at Essendon last year. She says he faces suspension and she'd be "amazed" if the Bombers were allowed to play finals this year.

* Matthew Lloyd says Brad Sewell is no longer in Hawthorn's best 22. Sewell was a surprise omission last week. Lloyd also says the Dees need to move on from Paul Roos and he isn't the right man for the job.
