THE heartbroken parents of Sydney Swans skipper Kieren Jack have not been invited to Saturday’s AFL Grand Final because of their family feud.

Rugby league legend Garry Jack and his wife Donna are normally offered complimentary tickets that go to the parents of players.

Instead Kieran’s girlfriend Charlotte Goodlet will be taking her mum and dad to the MCG for the AFL decider against the Western Bulldogs.

Still the family says the door of their home remains open for their son.

The Daily Telegraph understands it was Kieren’s call to offer the tickets to his girlfriend’s parents.

Garry Jack confirmed last night he would not be travelling to Melbourne for the game.

“At this stage no contact has been made from anyone at the Swans club and as a result no one from the family will be attending the game,” Jack said.

“In response to ongoing questions, we want to wish our son Kieren every success in this important game and do not want to add any unnecessary attention to the club’s preparations.

“As we have stated from the very beginning, today and always, the door of our home remains open to all of our sons, and we fully accept the decisions that they make in their lives unconditionally.

“We ask that media agencies please respect our family’s requests for privacy from this point onwards as we continue to deal with and move on from these circumstances.”

Garry Jack recently told The Daily Telegraph he had not heard from his son despite numerous phone calls and text message in recent months.

“We’d like to fix things up because he’s my son but it’s hard when we can’t contact him,” Jack said.

The feud was first revealed in July’s when Jack’s parents were told they were not welcome at his milestone 200th career game against Geelong.

Kieren’s younger brother Brandon, who is also not on speaking terms with his parents, will be at the Grand Final as a Swans reserves player.
