ST KILDA’S off-field overhaul has continued with veteran administrator Graeme Allan announced as the club’s latest addition.
“Gubby” will start full-time work with the Saints late next week, taking up a list management and advisory role at Moorabbin.
It will be Allan’s first official job in football since being suspended by the AFL for 12 months in 2016 after investigators deemed his arranging of Lachie Whitfield to stay at then-GWS welfare manager Craig Lambert’s house as an attempt to avoid a potential drug test.

Allan will bring a wealth of experience to a Saints administration that’s undergone mass change in the wake of a disappointing 2018 season.
“Graeme’s primary role will be supporting James Gallagher and his team as we continue to evolve our list strategy,” Saints footy boss Simon Lethlean said.
“His vast knowledge and experience around list strategy and player acquisition will be important, but we think he can add great value to a number of areas within the football program as well,”
Experienced assistants Brett Ratten and Brendon Lade have joined Alan Richardson’s coaching panel, James Gallagher has replaced Tony Elshaug as list manager and data analyst Darren O’Shaughnessy has crossed from Hawthorn.

Andrew Bassat started as St Kilda president in August, while it was announced earlier this month that Melbourne Storm great Billy Slater would take up a newly-created mentoring position.
Allan was used by North Melbourne as a consultant this year.
Allan, who was banned for 12 months in 2016 for his involvement in the Lachie Whitfield drug saga, will support the Saints’ list management and recruiting teams.
He will be assisting in the recruitment of players, retention and list strategy.
Allan controversially joined Collingwood in 2016.
