MELBOURNE coach Simon Goodwin has heeded the call in inject some speed into the Demons team by recalling Jayden Hunt among four changes for Tuesday night’s Anzac eve clash against Richmond.

The Demons also named Dom Tyson, Billy Stretch and Sam Weideman but dropped Tom Bugg, Bayley Fritsch and Sam Frost from the side that was embarrassed by Hawthorn last week. Veteran Jordan Lewis was ruled out with a hand injury. The Tigers were forced to make three changes with Josh Caddy and Nick Vlastuin injured and Jack Graham suspended. Meanwhile, Collingwood has named an unchanged line-up for the Anzac Day match against Essendon, which welcomes back Jackson Merrett. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CARLTON’S start to the season has gone from bad to worse with three more key players ruled out with injury. The Blues confirmed star ruckman Matthew Kreuzer (groin), midfielder Matthew Kennedy (ankle) and out-of-form backman Jacob Weitering (thigh) would all join skipper Marc Murphy (foot) on the sidelines. Key forward Harry McKay will play his third game while Sam Kerridge, Jed Lamb, Sam Rowe and back-up ruckman Andrew Phillips were also recalled. Adelaide will be stretched to the limit against Sydney on Friday night after Rory Sloane and Eddie Betts were both ruled out with injury. Sloane absence is a further blow for the injury-hit Crows, who already ruled out Betts and David Mackay earlier in the week. The Swans, however, welcome back speedster Gary Rohan following his family heartbreak last weekend. Western Bulldogs have recalled Grand Final hero Tom Boyd to help lead its battling forward line against Fremantle in Perth. Boyd has not played since Round 13 last season but forced his way back into the senior side with five second-half goals in the VFL last weekend. The No.1 draft pick, who stepped away from the game last year to deal with a mental health issue, will give the Dogs some badly-needed marking power in attack. Geelong named Patrick Dangerfield to take on Port Adelaide even though the superstar midfielder was restricted to running laps at training on Thursday but Cory Gregson failed his fitness test after suffering a mid foot sprain. Jackson Thurlow and James Parsons return, while young backman Zach Guthrie was dropped. The Power ruled out Tom Rockliff and dropped Trent McKenzie, while Sam Powell-Pepper ruled himself out for selection. On Sunday, Hawthorn has named Ryan Burton and James Cousins to replace injured small forward Cyril Rioli and Paul Puopolo. The Kangaroos have dropped top draft pick Luke Davies-Uniacke after a solid start to his AFL career. Cameron Zurhaar is his replacement. In the QClash, Brisbane has reacted savagely to last week’s humiliating loss to Richmond, axing four players for the clash against Gold Coast at the Gabba. Daniel McStay, Ryan Bastinac, Jacob Allison and Ryan Lester return at the expense of Sam Mayes, Rhys Mathieson, Rohan Bewick and Josh Walker. The Suns axed star midfielder Aaron Hall after his up-and-down start to the year with Kade Kolodjashnij also out. Jesse Lonergan and Matt Rosa come in.
