THE party is almost over for Richmond, with the 2017 Premiership Cup set to be given a rest after a two-month tour on the road.
The Tigers will give their Melbourne-based faithful one final chance to get up close with the silverware today before it is put behind glass alongside Richmond’s 10 other premiership cups at the club’s Punt Rd headquarters.

The cup has travelled to all corners of Victoria from Officer to Echuca and Mildura to Shepparton as well as on interstate trips to the Gold Coast, Sydney and Perth.
Richmond football manager Neil Balme said it had been great to share the glory of the club’s first premiership in 37 years with fans around the country.
“You realise how much people really care,” Balme said.
“It’s really nice to get it out to the fans to get their hands on it.”
There are plans for a few extra stops on the tour in the New Year, with Darwin and Hobart set to feature as well as Bendigo where the Tigers are headed for their community camp in February.
Fans can have photos with the cup from 10am to 4pm tomorrow at Punt Rd Oval.
