RICHMOND’S blueprint has all of the hallmarks to deliver more success, premiership forward Jack Riewoldt has declared.
Manic pressure will again be a trademark of the reigning premier, which will take on North Melbourne in its second JLT Community Series game on Wednesday night at Ikon Park.
Riewoldt said that the side had extensively reminisced its drought-breaking flag win over the summer and forecast that the style in which the team played last year would continue.

“Certainly for us ... we obviously want to have an offensive, defensive and contest part of our games,” he said.
“But I think the pressure for us is certainly one thing that we want to focus on and we’ve got the players to do it. Hopefully we can continue to perform in that way this year.”
Every player that played in the victorious Grand Final remained at Punt Road.
And Riewoldt said he believed that such continuity can only aid the side as it attempts to recreate its success this season.
“All the players that played in the Grand Final are still on our list, as well as the guys that unfortunately didn’t get to play but were a huge part of the club last season,” he said.
“There’s moments when we reflect on (the victory).
“We also like to look back and see how we played the game because we think that’s important.
“Certainly the back end of last year and the grand final was the way that we wanted to play ... it’s a blueprint for us going into this year.
“It’s only natural to do that but our focus is firmly on season 2018 and more importantly (Wednesday) against the Kangaroos at Ikon Park.”
Riewoldt — who on Tuesday returned to the MCG in his role as a Macca’s Kick 2 Kick ambassador with the initiative to continue at over 85 games this year — said that all senior Tigers have kept an eye out for any complacency that could creep into the group.
“We’re constantly as leaders on the lookout for areas that we can improve in and making sure we’re steering the ship in the right direction,” he said.
“The first sign for that is day one of preseason and you see how your players come back, and obviously we’re coming off the highest of highs in terms of winning a premiership, but the way our players came back after preseason and training away form the group was as professional as we could have asked.
“We’ve seen no lag there … and we’re excited to attack this season.”
Riewoldt has been named to play on Wednesday, with skipper Trent Cotchin and Brownlow medallist Dustin Martin to feature in the near full-strength Tigers outfit.
