North Melbourne has full confidence Majak Daw can help fill the defensive breach left by retiree Scott Thompson ahead of a quiet trade period for Rhyce Shaw’s North Melbourne.
The Roos had interest in Sydney’s Tom Papley but rubbished reports they could offer him as much as $900,000 a season before he eventually chose the Blues as his preferred home.
Sam Frost also seems less likely to go to the Roos.
